Health and Social Care Secretary calls for routine flu testing as part of major diagnostics expansion
The Health and Social Care Secretary Matt Hancock has called for the mass diagnostic capacity built up as part of the response to COVID-19 must be used in the future.
Speaking at the Commons health and social care committee yesterday morning, Hancock called for a change in culture to one whereby “if in doubt, you get a test”.
He also called for diagnostic capacity to be “core” to how the NHS treats people in the future.
