Farmaindustria welcomes the establishment of the new Spanish Government and confirms commitments made to cooperate.
Farmaindustria, the Association of the Spanish pharmaceutical industry, said:
“It welcomes the appointment of the new Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, and offers all his collaboration in favour of a quality and sustainable health system and patient access to all medicines
“The Association is already working on the definition of a new Agreement with the Administration for the achievement of these objectives, as well as for the strengthening of this strategic industrial sector
“Recognition of both disruptive and incremental innovation, commitment to productive investment, reinforcement of transparency and fight against shortages, other key lines of collaboration”
The Association discusses its efforts to work with the General State Administration, including a new version of the Collaboration Agreement with the General State Administration to be released in 2020.
Also highlighted is the potential to reap rewards from increased investment in health (up to 7% of GDP) announced by the President, and the important strategic role played by the pharmaceutical sector in Spain.
