The Italian Medicines Agency has updated its drug classification lists for 2020, announcing new tables of Class A and Class H products.
Classes A and H represent the medicines reimbursed by the Italian National Health Service, with Class H being provided exclusively by hospitals.
AIFA – Agenzia Italiana del Farmaco (Italian Medicines Agency) – says:
“…the Italian Medicines Agency makes available to all Healthcare Professionals, the tables containing the list of drugs of class A and H, dispensed by the National Health Service, ordered by active ingredient and commercial name respectively.
“These tables constitute a technical tool and include both medicines included in the AIFA Transparency List and medicines covered by patent protection, as well as medicines whose patent protection has expired but for which there is no substitutability.”
