Westminster Health Forum – The future of pharmaceutical pricing and access to medicines – priorities for implementing the next instalment of the Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme

Thursday 25 April, 2019 starting at 08:30 - 13:00

Central London, London, UK

The Westminster Health Forum presents its session on pharmaceutical pricing and access to medicines. This will be very well attended, coming as it does right at the start of the new PPRS cycle. The organisers say:

“With the 2014 Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme set to expire on the 31st of December 2018, and discussions ongoing about the potential shape and structure of any successor agreement, delegates will consider the potential impact of the next instalment on the NHS, industry and access to medicine.

“Attendees will also assess what options are available to policymakers as they look to support medicine optimisation and reduce expenditure on medicines – with the Department of Health and Social Care analysing feedback from their consultation on proposed changes to the statutory scheme to control the cost of branded medicines, which seeks guidance on whether to include biologics in price controls.”
