NHSE calls for mental health in GP practices

NHS England has issued new guidance, encouraging the incorporation of mental health services and professionals in to general practice settings.

This co-location initiative is part of ongoing efforts to integrate mental and physical care. Its aims are to improve ease of access for patients, reduce stigma and delays in seeking help, and ensure those with long-term physical conditions receive care for mental health issues which arise in parallel with their physiological conditions.
