Shake up at NHS England as Teams Restructured

NHS England has restructured its national teams. The HSJ has reported that NHS England is expanding the directorate headed by Matthew Swindells and giving it overall responsibility for delivering the Five Year Forward View (subscription required) has reported.

NHS England’s director of strategy, Michael Macdonnell, is moving into a new role as director of system transformation, with a remit to look at integrated health systems and new models of care. Celia Ingham Clark has been appointed as interim clinical safety director by both NHS England and NHS Improvement.
