The Government’s Industrial Strategy has provided a compelling argument for change in order to create “an economy that works for everyone”, aspiring towards higher standards of living and increased productivity to ensure that the UK economy is fit to face the global challenges and opportunities.

The plan consists of many policy changes but lacks a framework for future decision-making which should be the core of a long-term strategy.
