A Lack of Council Involvement Means that Sustainability and Transformation Plans are Likely to Meet Opposition

The chief executive of the Local Government Association has said that Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs) are likely to meet opposition due to a lack of council involvement and that engagement with local councils and communities will improve their chances of success.

The National Health Executive revealed that in a recent report from the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy it was suggested that STPs lack robust plans to deliver savings and should make more use of councils’ involvement.
