Spanish GPP Seeks to Integrate Patient Associations in Decision Making

The spokesman of the Popular Parliamentary Group (GPP) in the Congress of Deputies, Rafael Hernando, presented at the end of last year (published in the Official Gazette of the Courts on December 20), a Non-Law Proposition, which urged the Government “to formalise and implement a framework agreement with patient associations that establishes and articulate a space of collaboration with which to promote greater active participation of patients themselves in the design and planning of health strategies and health policies to develop quality, cohesion, equity, security, solvency and sustainability of the health system, as well as to make improvements in training, access and information consultation, and health promotion and education”.
