The Catalan Health Service (CatSalut) will change its structure from April 2017, with 3 main areas of intervention:
- Pharmacotherapeutic Harmonisation – focusing on the clinical and outcome evaluation of the harmonisation, pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology and drug post-authorisation studies
- Pharmaceutical benefits and access to the drug – controlling pharmaceutical provisions, evaluations, planning and management access agreements for innovative therapies
- Territorial action of the drug – focusing on the territorial implementation of drug policies around pharmacotherapuetic harmonisation and pharmaceutical provisions
This modification of the Medication Area also responds to the need to adapt to the future structure of the Catalan Agency of Medicines and Health Products.
