Saudi Arabia and Germany are locked in a diplomatic row restricting entry of German-made pharmaceuticals to the country. Reuters report that European and US pharmaceutical associations have written to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman highlighting,
“the level of concern in Germany and elsewhere about restrictive procurement measures implemented by Riyadh in response to criticism of its policies.”
German companies’ ability to trade in Saudi Arabia has been harmed following criticism of its increasingly assertive regional policies, and it is apparent that the supply of medicines and technology is being heavily affected.
