Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Report on New Health Technologies

On 16 January 2017, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) published a report titled “New Health Technologies: Managing Access, Value and Sustainability”. This 228-page document aims to provide an analysis of the current situation and challenges for all health stakeholders, in the field of pharmaceuticals, biomedicines and medical devices. It then views to formulate recommendations to tackle the issue of high-cost technologies, in order to reconcile continuing innovation, safe and prompt access to innovative therapies with affordability and limited budget impacts.
