ACTO and PAHO meet to discuss future cooperation

The Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organisation (ACTO), of which Brazil is a member, and the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) signed a new technical cooperation framework agreement that supports the implementation of health strategies and knowledge management.

Under the agreement, PAHO/WHO and ACTO will have 90 days to establish a work plan detailing the general bases and conditions under which the execution of strategic lines of Regional Health Management and Knowledge Management will be established.

The areas of cooperation include environmental health, development of health systems, technologies for the efficiency of Health interventions, sustainable development, research amongst others.
