Cash boost for addiction treatment in British Columbia

Ginette Petitpas Taylor, the Canadian Federal Health Minister, has announced $71.7 emergency funding for drug addiction sufferers in British Columbia.

Three to four people die every day in the province, and the Minister has described drug addiction as a public health emergency. The money is designed to improve access to treatment for those with an addiction problem.
