Consultation on the Cost-Effectiveness Methodology for Vaccination Programmes and Procurement (CEMIPP)

A consultation has been published by the Department of Health & Social Care seeking views on the introduction of a cost effectiveness threshold of £15,000.

A recommendation for the cost-effectiveness threshold for immunisation programmes to be lowered to £15,000 per QALY is included in the report in order to bring it into line with evidence estimating healthcare opportunity costs and the Department of Health & Social Care’s methodology for impact assessments. There is also the objective to bring this more closely aligned to the evaluation of medicines.
