Appointment of new Chief Clinical Information Officer for Health and Care
NHS England and NHS Improvement have announced Dr. Simon Eccles will succeed Professor Keith McNeil as the new Chief Clinical Information officer for Health and Care to lead the use of technology and data in the NHS to drive improvements in patient care.
Dr. Simon Eccles is a practicing hospital consultant in Emergency Medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Dr. Eccles also holds the position as the Clinical Director for Emergency Care for NHS England along with a number of senior roles nationally.
